MINDFULNESS + SCIENCE
May 7th - 7:00pm - 8:30pm
In this workshop we will cover:
1. What mindfulness is, the benefits in practicing mindfulness, and how we can incorporate it into our everyday lives. We will look into how our mind works, and how we can train our brains to think more positively.
2. We will discuss the scientific evidence behind mindfulness and what is happening to our brain when we practice mindfulness meditation.
3. We will explore difficult emotions such as anxiety, depression, stress and develop tools to help us when we experience them.
4. We will practice mindful meditations and how to do these at home.
